Happy 3-month birthday!

Livie and Wills are three months old today! Parents always say, "I can't believe how quickly the time has gone," and now I know why.

The babes and I hung together at home while Xilon was out and about doing union work today.  I love how the babies are becoming more engaged in the world and people around them. Will giggled many times today, and Livie smiled her million dollar smile and cooed. We talked about noses (theirs and mine), sang songs, listened to Mozart, investigated a rattle, and spent some time on a play mat that cousin Shannon and aunt Linda gave us. We also watched (and danced to) a Simply Red concert on cable TV. As I talked to Will today, he talked back often, even while sucking on his paci (pacifier). He likes to say, "Oy oy oy yoy yoy yoy."

Before heading to bed around 8:30 tonight, the babes happily bathed in the kitchen sink. (The photos with this post are from Will's bath time. Next post will have Livie photos.) Both babies would sit in that lovely warm water all day if we let them. Splashing in that lavender-scented water settles them right down. Both kids sleep like angels -- nine and a half hours straight last night!

I'm excited for summertime. The babes will get to feel grass on their little feet and rumps and splash in a wading pool and snooze on a blanket in the cozy shade. We'll take walks in all my favorite parks. They can leave a note for the Lake Harriet elf.  (He lives in a tree across the lake from the bandshell, near Queen Street, FYI.)

Ahhhh, life is good!
